"Carolina Creations has been our contracted landscaping and grounds maintenance service provider since December 1, 2003. They took over the work for our neighborhood after the prior contract (with XXXXX) was terminated prior to its scheduled expiry date.

When Carolina Creations began to service the Village, the grounds and related shrubbery were in a very unsatisfactory state, with numerous damaged turf areas and overgrown ground cover in many places. Beginning in January, 2004, Carolina Creations also began an off-season clean-up and clean-out program for the surrounding wooded common areas that has had a major positive impact on the appearance of the Village, at no additional cost to the Association. This program will be completed during the coming 2004/5 off-season, again scheduled and specced out to meet the identified needs at the least additional cost.

Grooming and resurrecting of the turf and front common area landscaped areas has been handled extremely well with many favorable comments being received from residents, visitors and local real estate brokers. The Board of the Association believes that Carolina Creations' work has contributed significantly to the substantial increase in Village Unit sales during the late Spring and Summer months as well as to the attraction of rental tenants to our neighborhood.

We look forward to renewing our contract with Carolina Creations when it comes up for re-bid in November and also expending the current scope of service to include additional seasonal plantings and ground cover in the entrance and other areas.

Carolina Creation's principal officer, Art Miller has been most cooperative during the past year and all of his staff have been friendly, courteous and responsive to resident concerns."

In specific terms, the Contract Manager system that Carolina Creations utilized provides a highly favorable level of responsiveness to issues as they arise. The fact that the contract manager for both the residential and REPOA common properties is the same individual expedites communication, permits the identification and resolution of problems, in some cases before I am aware of them, and establishes a level of understanding of the expectations of the residents of the community. Imbedded in theresidential and commercial services from Carolina Creations is a “Care Call” process that provides regular, systematic contact to verify the level of satisfaction and the identification of any outstanding issues.

Carolina Creations’ response to the solicitation of proposals for landscaping services for 2008 resulted in Carolina Creations replacing the former, long-standing contractor based on overall cost savings and the anticipated level of service.

As stated above, the level of service is very satisfactory, and the contract cost is highly competitive. In fact, the REPOA has entered into a multi-year contract with Carolina Creations, to maintain stability in its budgeting process in recognition of its ongoing concern for cost containment.

It has been my ongoing pleasure to work with Carolina Creations Landscapes in the last past year.

As Chair of the Landscape Committee for the Winding River Plantation, I am responsible for the maintenance of all common areas, state road and private lot easements. This includes all ponds, swales, medians, and numerous annual beds. Carolina Creations takes care of us from A to Z. From the standard mowing, trimming, and pruning, to weed, insect, and fungicide control, as well as fertilization and beautiful floral displays, we expect and receive the best in horticultural practices.

Trying to find the “perfect fit” for one’s Landscaping needs is no easy task. After exhaustive interviews with plantations from Wilmington to S. Carolina, Carolina Creations made our short list. While cost was of primary importance, a motivating factor in their selection was the education and technical expertise coupled with the professional manner of the actual workers. Due to our high traffic areas, safe practices are imperative.

What made them stand out from the competition was their willingness to really listen to our needs and work with us in coming up with a contract that was tailor made for our needs. As our needs have changed, they have changed to meet those needs. I always have the same crews, the same foreman, and the same accounts manager. I know and trust each and every one.

Communication is key to ensuring a successful partnership. While I meet on a regular basis with my accounts manager, he is never more than a phone call away. Someone is on call for emergencies 24/7.

Much of the work I am doing at present involves changing out and/or transplanting our landscaping due to poor initial design aimed at selling property rather than thinking of long term growth patterns and tremendous safety issues. I wish our developer had used Carolina Creations to begin with.

At the end of the day, what makes Carolina Creations unique is a staff working closely both together and with their customers. As a customer, it is wonderful not just to have our needs met, but anticipated.

While young enough to be innovative, they embrace the timeless adage that “the customer is always right.” It is a great feeling!

I can't remember whether it's been 3 or 4 years since we first signed our contract with Carolina Creations, but I do know it was in the early stages of your service at Ocean Ridge. Yes, we've had a few complaints over the years, and you and your guys have listened patiently and taken care of every one.

Several times I've tried to call you to express our satisfaction personally but, our schedules don't seem to coincide so we just leave messages back & forth.

We both wish to thank you and your crews for all of the great work you've been doing. It has been a real pleasure watching your busines grow and also marvelling at how you have been incorporating all of the additional care features we want and need into your service.
